Fall TV Season

I have to confess to being a bit underwhelmed by this Fall's television season. There are very few shows that I am eager to see this Fall. I think Fringe should be pretty good (and the part of the pilot episode I have seen so far demonstrates as much), but it remains to be seen how well it will hold up in the long run. I also am looking forward to My Own Worst Enemy -- and not just because I was a fan of Heathers back in the 1980's. The premise is a bit familiar. Basically it is a variation on The Bourne Identity, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, True Lies, and any other amnesia and/or dual-identity spy thriller. Still, the reason that plot line has been done so often is because it's a good one.

Beyond that, I'm not sure I'll be watching any other new series. I'll have to content myself with the return of Chuck, Smallville, and all my other old favorites -- at least until Dollhouse comes on as a mid-season show.

I am looking forward to My Own Worst Enemy as well. NBC really pushed it during the Olympics and I was hooked then.

There is a new series on FX called The Sons Of Anarchy (http://www.hulu.com/sons-of-anarchy). It is at least PG-13 but it seems pretty decent so far. There are a couple of plot lines that I am really interested in watching develop.

Fringe, based on the pilot episode is pretty good, a little X-Files, a little Lost, some original stuff. I am with you, the pickins' are slim, at best.

There is also the new Knight Rider. It seems pretty lame but it has potential I think. It uses some cool CGI effects and FANUC ARC Mate 100 Robots which I worked on at FANUC Robotics.

Can I change my vote? I just sat through the first 10 minutes of the 2nd episode of Knight Rider. It was terrible - and I mean that - I sat cringing inside for how cheesy-bad it was.

I am glad that Chuck is back on. Hero's too.
That is all I watch except for NFL, EPL, and NBA.

I want you to know that I enjoyed your post very much as well as your blog. It has been added to my list of favs. Keep up the great work. I will be visiting as often as my health allows.
